There were some very eager novice sailors on the water last Sunday morning - and they weren't the usual suspects!

We hosted a special sailing morning for a group of children and adults from Legacy Australia, and despite the cool temperatures, a late morning storm and shifty winds everyone seemed to greatly enjoy themselves.

After a few hours on the water, we enjoyed a sausage sizzle and specially made reindeer cupcakes. Santa - who seemed to have lost a lot of weight this year - paid a special visit and handed out gifts to all the youngsters. He even went for a dip in the lake.

A big shout-out goes to all the club members who helped on the day, but especially to Jim Fairlie and Woolworths for organising and sponsoring the event and to Jenny Harris for her wonderful food and tireless work behind the scenes.

And the best part? We can't wait to do it all again next year.
