At Narrabeen Lakes Sailing Club, community is at the heart of everything we do. Whether you're a seasoned sailor, a first-time crew member, or a supportive family member cheering from the shore, there's a place for you here.
Annual Events
Each year, we come together off the water for a few key events that help us connect, celebrate, and give back to the club:

Maintenance Day – A hands-on day where members pitch in to care for our boats, equipment and grounds. It’s hard work, but it’s also full of laughter, teamwork, and a great barbecue to finish.

Presentation Night – Our chance to reflect on the season, celebrate achievements across all age groups and skill levels, and share stories from the water.

Christmas Party – A relaxed and festive gathering to wrap up the calendar year with good food, good company, and a little holiday cheer.
Inclusive Regattas
We run two casual regattas each year that are open to all members, regardless of experience:

The Marathon – A long-distance fun race across the lake, ideal for those who like to test their stamina or just enjoy the scenery.

The Anniversary Race – Held each year to mark the founding of the club, this event brings together sailors of all ages and abilities for a light-hearted and social day on the water.
These events are designed to be inclusive, fun, and a great opportunity for everyone to get involved—no matter how much time you’ve spent in a boat.
Contributing to the Broader Sailing Community
NLSC is proud to play an active role in the wider sailing scene. Each year, we host and support a range of regional and state-level events. Last season, we were the venue for the Sabot Southern Zone Championship, and we’ve expressed interest in hosting a leg of the Sabot State Championships next year.
